Endsliegh are especially there for student insurance. I don't see why you're so surprised you lost your student discount when you aren't a student any more.

Can't you scrap it for a new Corsa SXi Diesel with Free Insurance?

Thought that would be right up your street.

Plus, My XE Corsa was £540 this year... Think your pants are being pulled down on a 12v.

1. I don't want finance.
2. I don't want a diesel Corsa. . .mind you, looking at these insurance prices it looks like I'll have no choice

ed - I didn't know it was actually a discount. I just don't see how they can justify such an increase, when I'm not a different person. If they are prepared to give me the same cover for £460 as they would for £700, there is no reason why they can't give it me at the lower price.

The AA still phone me up offering me insurance for well over a grand. They seem happy until I tell them my insurance costs £400 a year. Just shop around until you get bored.

Deano for comparison I pay 900ish fc for my punto (grp 7) with commuting, factory options declared, lowered springs declared and I have 0ncb and 3 points sp30 with my mum and dad as named drivers

that's with elephant and you get free European cover

I know, that is what is so frustrating. I have no idea how others get it so slow.

Admiral = £487 with dad.

Deano's W reg Corsa doesn't work with the scrappage scheme

Admiral's website is a bit shit TBH

There we are then, theres your winner.

Change some things like drop you annual milage a couple of tousand and change your job title. Make sure it's kept on a driveway (cheapest) and fiddle with the excess.

Wait until March next year. Then turn it into a cube

That's one thing with this scrappage scheme. Do the cars actually get scrapped? Surely that's a massive, massive waste?

Admiral is £27 more expensive than a company that doesn't seem to allow mods. I see a winner tbh.

I found it didn't make any difference personally, but I have a good postcode.

Keeping my car on the driveway is cheaper than the garage.

Work that one out

Annual mileage is 10k, which is less than I do anyway.

Save £10 by not having commuting, so might as well do it to be covered.

Admiral = £426.50 with dad and Lily covered. Win.

Their excess is very very low for under 21's as well, Bell was £500 comp + vol, Admiral £200 comp + vol

Total excess for me is £500.

Hopefully now I can go to my insurance broker and say beat that. Fingers crossed.

Get a better, faster car.

At 21 I see there being barely any difference in insurance between the two and Id feel severly raped to pay that on the slowest car on the road.

For example at 21 I was £370 on my Seat Ibiza Cupra

Admiral only wanted £40 extra to change from a 12v to a 1.6 sport.
