Funny though, as Ballack is 33 in a few weeks, Deco will be 33 next August, Carvalho is 32 in May, Drogba is 32 in March, Lampard is 32 in June, Anelka is 31 in March

Good experienced squad 'for the win' as you lot say.

At least we will appeal, I expect it to be no January signings and that is all.

It depends how it's worded aswell, can they just not 'buy' players or can't they even have players on loan?

They cant register a player in the name of the club, so that includes loans as well as full purchases until 1st Jan 2011.

Well the appeal will be successful then because they could just claim that Fifa will ruin the 'business' aspect of the club and cause a revenue loss if they start underachieving, and TBH I hope they do because Fifa and Uefa will make examples of English clubs yet turn a blind eye to Real Madrid's tapping of Benzema and Albiol.

No, because they'd need to register that player with FIFA before they then loan them out to the other club.

I suppose they MAY be able to agree a deal with a club/player and allow him to keep playing for that club, but i can see 1000 problems for Chavski, the selling club and the player by doing that, and Im certain FIFA wouldnt look too kindly on it.

But they dont care about those sides, as far as they are concerned chavski threatened the 'business' and 'footballing' aspects of Lens by telling a player to break his contract.

And its not just tapping up thats the problem, they actually helped a young player break his contract so Chavski had to pay nothing to get him.

I didn't mean I could see you posting about it, more that once the story broke yesterday the first thing I thought was that Man United will be getting reported for the same thing as Le Havre were kicking off about them not long ago

We? Chavski fan?

Why would you of only bought them in Jan? Surely you'd of bought them in the summer and give them 6 months to settle in before they have to be expected to play!

Robbie Keane plays for Liverpool in FIFA10. So expect this ban to feature in FIFA 2013 or something shit.

the promising young talent all get loaned out for a season then often sold

ageing squad will start to tier by the end of the season

drogba, Kalou, Essien, Mikel all away to ACN we have cover but if they pick up any injuries we could be in a spot of bother tbh

No one ever really does any major business in Jan unless they have some serious unexpected issues, ACN isnt that so if they intended to get cover I really think they'd of done it this summer.

Good job we have all that strength in depth and a good young squad then isn't it!!!

2 year transfer ban wouldn't affect us nearly as bad as Chavski as we have quite a few good players in the reserves and coming in to the squad.

Bit of a bummer though
