can do, but they're also manually operated - the computers are used more for furling (putting away) the sails

Obscene but I want it
I saw the sultan of brunei's docked in san antonio years back... I think it was the one before he had this built though (can't find any pictures), at the time the platinum/golden star was the worlds biggest yatch (2005).

They're just for show really then, might as well have a big engine.
There's no chance whoever has that is going out in the rain to move his sails about.

I would, its part of the buzz of sailing. A sail boat does so much more thana motoryacht as well, heel, trim, yaw, slamming, pitching - a motoryacht is a relatively stable platform and with new pendulum and outrig stabilisers, they're getting more stable all the time - removes an element of enjoyment from a journey. You may as well have a caravan

Id be willing to bet my mega yacht that the guy who owns that has NEVER manually operated that.

I don't know, he's apparently a really keen sportsman and has a lot to do with America's cup racing so there's a chance - however, I would be speculating as I don't know the answer.

Yeah but he wouldnt be sailing that yacht would he? He'll have some smaller and better boat for sailing that he'd use.
Thats purely a leisure boat thats made to look like a sail boat IMO.
