30 seconds to 100 wtf The thing that really limits the 0-60 on these cars is the short 2nd gear. I could probably get 9 seconds out of my 1.4 as well. But cba I love the torqueless midrange so much I'm giving the engine away

Ill be honest and say my gf's car is more fun on country roads than mine and isnt much slower than my 1.6 sport.
She's got ashley cat back, ashley 4-1 manifold, k&n panel filter and 40mm gmax springs.
If you keep the revs up on hers it does go pretty well but the sport feels alot more torque'y engine.
Any other questions im more than happy to answer comparing the 2 mate.

1.6 feels much faster than a 1.4 sport, or atleast mine did. the 1.6 is a very good engine and provides better mpg than the 1.4. when my 1.6 was modified it was quicker in every sense with 130bhp but it still wasnt that fast. by the time the power got to the wheels in mine it was something like 98bhp. if your wanting cheap fast fun you have to go vts or gti. i spent roughly 1.7k on my sport which i paid 1.4 for and i still couldnt beats ecks shite bag xsi

106 gti/vts are too small inside. pedals are too close together, too.

They're not that small inside, pedals are a bit close together but it doesn't bother me, maybe if you have huge feet it will. A VTS/GTI will be far more fun than a 1.4/1.6 corsa and handle 100 times better

a work mate had a vtr and a vts and he's about 5'5'' and even he said it was a bit cramped no chance with me being 6'.
and also the fact that everyone in there hates french cars so it'll probably get keyed to fuck and slashed tyres
