Well this morning it was a clear blue sky, and nippy but it ain't raining

So I got a load of tools out, the gearbox, and most of the short engine, and started to put it all togther, the mistake of the day, I throught I'd use the XE gasket, along with the baffle plate, from a 8V. Which wasn't a very good idea, because I carcked the sump So then I had to get the sump off my nacked engine, which seems to have welded it's self on, and spent ages getting it off, and cleaning the dirt out of it.

This is the mess of a engine bay.

After the fun with the sump, I then bolted the flywheel n stuff on ready for the gearbox.

Then as if by magic, it all jumped together

After a load of farting about I got it all in. I manged to damaged the threads on one of my mounts, so off to the scrapy tomorrow morning and try and get a another one, plus I've miss led some bolts with my fancy storage system

Went to my favorite scrap yard today, got my mount, and another pair of Astra side repeaters found their way into my pocket
Then when I got home noticed I had locked myself out So spent ages getting in.
Which lost me loads of time
Got the head bolted on, I like the ARP's much better than bolts
Sorry didn't take any pictures I was rushing, and my phone was low on power.

Well it's been a bit cold, so I only spent about half an hour, doing stuff to the van before it started to get dark, because I had work today

I've fitted my oil cooler, and drive shafts, thats all I could be arsed to do
But I also did a few more snaps.

It's ok that isn't snow on top of the engine, it's a oil only pad

She also held the block steady on the crane, while I slipped the gearbox on

I've ordered a new air filter for it today, which may turn up tomorrow

My Ramair one had holes in it

I haven't done too much this week.

Quick pic of my bronze guides, I also fitted my Piper cams this weekend, but it was too wet to do much

My tinted rear lights turned up from Germany, 72EUR to my door brand new If you want I could post up a link to the guy selling them, I also gave it a wash a polish, I did back to blacked the arches afterwards

Thanks, but I need your rear splitter in my life

I'm pretty sure the head gasket has gone on the sport so that needs to be fixed, once the van is running again.

I got a little bit done today, been having some trouble, getting my gear linkage to work
I haven't done much in the way of pictures but took a few pictures before I started today because I did a few thing on Thrusday.

This is my trouble some linkage, I removed the washers in the other picture, because I couldn't select 2nd, and 4th. I spent flipping ages on it today trying to work out what was wrong

My bird is off to Reading tomorrow so hopefully I can have a go at the wireing

Wiring time, I've got a rev limter now, because before I didn't and the counter strayed off the clock a few times.

Now I know it's all really untidy, but I'm just making sure it works.

I've got all the carbs, and cooling system in, exhaust is joined up, tie bars, and ARB bolted up together.
But I'm having trouble, tightening up my crank bolt

Hope you like, only need to pipe up my fuel pump, and crank bolt, get a tax disc

Well got the van on the road now, and been having fun in it

Trouble with the linkage paid off, it's almost like a Integra Type R

The ATB is very good, haven't had a proper chance to try it out, because I'm still running it in, I also had my tool kit with me, just in case

I've been trying not to rag it, but my god it goes like stink

The poor thing hasn't been washed since July, so it's got extra green on it.
Did a oil and filter change, after the first 50 odd miles today.
