if you had it for protection... nope....
same goes with most weapons, if you happen to pick up say a baseball bat from your sports equipment closet you should be ok..
if theres a baseball bat under your bed and you have it there for protection, youll most likely get done
Well a lad set upon me and a mate (random attack) with a baseball bat out of his boot no balls or nothing, i had stiches etc, the lad got a caution. I would say its a little more lackadaisical.

I have the stick with hook in my room for the loft hatch
But my choice would probably be the thick end of my cue

I heard once you're only allowed to cause significant damage to them if they come upstairs.
However, this is flawed, what if you live in a bungalow? Or a flat?
And also, there's a few mini bats under the boiler that my dad collected from various countries that could be used.
Imo if someone breaks into somewhere then the people who live there should be allowed to use any force they wish.

I was told someone who breaks into your house could only be hit 3 times before you can be in trouble for it. Bit stupid if its true.

I thought farmers were allowed to shoot someone who goes onto their land ? Or is that just dogs they can shoot if they go after livestock?

wouldn't have thought so, why would they have more rights than any other member of the public?
shooting human beings robbing from you and shooting dogs/foxes that are eating your chickens is abit different

Should be allowed to shoot the human beings and not the dogs imo.

Tony Martin, got life for murder of one of the kids and intent to harm on the other. This is one of the issues that faces people who have shotguns/rifles, you'll most likely get locked up.

Some d**k broke into my house and was upstairs when I came home from work... I was like wtf? as he came down the stairs, ran past me and as he went out the front door I thought I better do something so I kicked him in the ass If I'd been more on the ball I'd have smacked him round the head with the f*** off brass candlestick in the sitting room. Oh well, he only got like 3 quid from my room anyway

tony martin got burgled by 2 pikeys, he injured one and killed the other, he got sent to prison because the one that died was shot in the back apparently as he was climing out of a window trying to run away.
the law in theis country is so shit! if someones on your land stealing your things i think you should be able to shoot them.
i have pleanty of things i could use but i doubt i would, i have a rifle, 2 samurai swords and a nice solid steel pry bar, but... like stated above, is it worth going down for manslaughter if you kill them?? even if you hit them once and cause massive injury your stil going to end up in trouble.

Isn't the law that if they're leaving you can't stop them to give them a kicking?

Nope, not under any circumstances well unless ofcourse you are an ARU Officer and you happen to have been called out to your own home that is being broken into by an armed thief.

Reasonable force. You're better off leaving well alone for a number of reasons.

Right to roam means that the public can stroll around wherever the like all over a farmers land. Usually littering, damaging fences and hedges and leaving gates open in the process.
