We drew 1-1 with them away, should have won though, I went up.
Drew 2-2 at home.

Not bad really is it, how much they spent again???
It didnt really help with us losing our first 5 games
Dunno what da fcuk happened there. Guess we thought it'd be a breeze like div3. I would kill for another season like that, preferably not in div3 again though

Yeah. The standard of the league is shit though, I mean, I dont really rate us as a good footballing side, we have no decent strikers! Our leading scorer was a center back I think!
Yet we have still taken points off all the top teams (beat wigan away) and finished in a respectable position.

Same as us really. We have some good players but our style isnt to my liking. Its all pass and move, no running with the ball or anything. But yet we too beat some top teams. Drew with wigan twice, 4 points off cardiff, 2 off bristol city i think, 4 off oldham, 3 off crewe. Then we get beat by the likes of Swindon and Masfield
Although our strikers are pretty good. Howard scored 22 this term, 25 last term. Tony thorpe is good when he isnt injured. Are u overall happy with where u finished? I am. After getting promoted and losing 5 on the trot i thought we were doomed to relegation.

And we beat you at Kenilworth Road, Tony Thorpe 50th minute strike.
End of the day, as you said that was a nothing match last season. True in the respect that we don't care about you but what we did do is:
We beat the Scum 2-1
We beat the Scum 2-1
We Beat the Scum 2-1.
You will never understand the rivalry.

You may understand Rivalry but not this one. Anything could have happened this season. Playoffs, automatic promotion, huge investment anything but the most important thing was beating W@#ford.

Thats not rivarlry, that stupidity.
So given the choice of winning the league or beating watford you would choose to beat watford?

We never had the choice. Our season wasnt a complete flop as we did achieve something. I think thats what he was saying.

No i didn't say it was preference if it was a choice but in football you don't choose what you win or lose do you. If we won the league and beat w@#ford in the same season, the event that would be most celebrated for the Luton fanatic would be beating the scum.
When the draw came out for september 10th W@#ford v Luton, we were not doing very well in the league. As soon as that draw happened any thoughts of are we going down this year or what can the team do to improve went out the window. The aim was that at no fail we must not lose to the scum. It's still smiled about nearly 9months on.

Just stumbled into this thread by complete accident, whilst seeing what old threads I'm subscribed to.
So 5 years on, how things change.
Really sorry to hear about your decline and points deduction. You're going to have to fight like mad to have a chance of staying up, good luck.
