I'm not a big drinker, I drink about Once every 6 months when I'm getting on it but on a normal weekend I will have 1 pint a night for the thursday, friday and saturday then stick to energy drink/coca cola etc etc.

I ended up having one last night as after making this thread some of the replys made me think what if?

Depends on your sex, size, age and metabolism Mark.

No two people are the same.

I'd only ever have 1 pint if I'm driving.

Threads like this seem to always focus on 'what you can get away with', as opposed to what is sensible
This is good advice. You have a crash end even if you're legal, you're going to find yourself in a very sticky situation regarding the law and your insurance. You can expect to have to take blame and your insurance company are likely to have even more grounds when they try and wriggle out of the payout. Then there's the civil case that comes along after most crashes these days.

Another point is, you can still be convicted even if you're under the limit.

Force policy to breathalise at every RTC now regardless of fault etc.

I was out on Thursday night, had a pint of shandy with my spoons curry at 7ish, didn't drive home until half 11 and had several cokes/J2Os in between, and still worried about driving even though I KNEW I was fine. My licene/job means that much to me. Can't understand how people can have a few drinks and risk it!

You should take a machine out with you, although tbf, you could be 10x over the limit and they'd send you on your way to sleep it off.

I'll have a pint, don't feel like i'm chancing it, normally be at the pub or whatever for a couple of hours after it.

I find driving at speed a far more relaxed procedure if i've had a couple of liveners.

I've moved my car up the street so it was closer to the house after one jd and coke before, but other than that I'd personally not want to run the risk at all.
