in the NHL you mean? yes it's just regular season games up until the playoffs start. there is a break mid feb til march for the winter olympics though.

I'm not so convinced by this move tbh! At first I was well impressed but when you break it down it's not so great, IMO

Kovalchuk is undoubtedly a fantastic player BUT we only got him for the rest of this season unless they can convince him to stay (fingers crossed he will!) but it's a big gamble IMO... we alreayd have Parise AND Elias at LW... if he needed to do a major deal then C would have been a better area as we only have Rob Neidermayer and Zajac there... neither are exactly brilliant! Langenbrunner and Rolston on the RW are sorted too so unless he plays Kovalchuk at C then I'm confused

Then we have the defensive area... we lost one of the best defensemen in the league in Oduya ... we have Martin, Salvador and White but we have been leaking goals lately since Martin went out injured... Salami/Semolina/whatever his name is who we got back we traded out a few seasons back so says it all about him I think!!

Lost Pikkarainen and Bergfors also during Jan! Pikkarainen was sent back to Europe as he couldn't adapt and Bergfors went to the Thrashers as part of the Kovalchuk deal!

Our "dodgy" new defender scored a SH and wa simmediately knocke dout cold! Then we lost a 2 nil lead and went down 3-2 3-6-1 in our last 10 IIRC :S

yeah I read that last night mate. He's better than Auld and Turco hasn't been performing as well as he used to. i believe he's had surgery on his back recently though so i'm not even sure if he is fit.

i've never been a fan of Auld but this season he's been very bad. Maybe the presence of another goalie will bring the best out of Turco.
