Looks like you already found the links, its hard to know if its true or not, like you im a bit skeptical.

The only problem with the Speed F1 comment about everything being fine, is that Peter Windsor was a commentator for Speed tv, and is very actively involved in the USF1 project, so the comments may have little truth in them as he may want to give of the appearance that everything is ok at USF1, after all the talk about his expertise in F1. Could be totally wrong though, hope they make it to the grid.

Lotus Spy Shot -

Looks pretty good considering they've only had since september to build the car from scratch...

Love the way that there only seems to be one company pumping an absurd amount of money into the Sport still (as sponsors)... most of the teams dont even ahve a sponsor

Edit: and Red Bull I suppose

Lotus is looking pretty nice tbh, its unconfirmed if thats the real livery but I reckon it will be

Anyway, Redbull unleashed the RB6 this morning, based upon the chassis that was very competitive towards the end of the 2009 season...

Update - Lotus pics and promo vid added and testing updates

The Lotus looks absolutely amazing! Certainly Virgin and Lotus have it in terms of liverys, lets hope they have the performance (hard to tell from current testing).

It will be interesting to see which drivers make a team better with their feedback.

Schumacher develops cars with what he tells his team, Senna and Prost were the same, drivers of the modern era don't tend to do this anymore, but I'm pleased to see Lotus finally back in F1 and the Cossie engines used again, it's going a bit old school again which will make me enthusiastic about the 2010 season.

Does this mean we'll get a decent F1 game this year? Should be good if they get it right & can somehow add a bit of depth to the career mode

News emerging this morning that Campos are set for a full takeover by one of the Shareholders (Jose Ramon Carabante). Apparently they have also hired ex-Force India principle, Colin Kolles and ex-Redbull technical director, Geoff Willis on a short term basis. They are hoping to have the car ready just in time for Valencia. Still not a word from USF1 though.

Updated with timings from yesterday and today’s testing at Jerez!

Lotus seem to be having a bit of a bad time out there - first Heikki damaging a nose with them not having a spare and Fauzy having a slight fire issue

Rob E - It is all a bit quiet on the USF1 front, although there are rumours that Chad Hurley (+ a few others) have walked. Which, if it is true, probably means US F1 is no more. Saying that though, apparently Lopez and a few others visited the factory a few days ago >here< to discuss the situation. Either way, it's highly likely they won't be at Bahrain and it's a bit 50/50 whether they'll make it at all. Especially when you have Stefan GP hassling the FIA for a spot on the grid.
Also Prodrive have said they'll considering jumping in if it all goes to pot, which could be interesting.

Updating testing!

News -
Jose Roman Carabante has taken over Campos - >HERE<
Colin Kolles has been made Team Principal at Campos - >HERE<
Stefan GP denied tyres by Bridgestone, Portimao testing called off - >HERE<
USF1 to miss first four races - >HERE<
USF1 get FIA inspection - >HERE<
USF1 could be going under - >HERE<

Kolles has said he WILL have two cars on the grid at Bahrain and will do everything it takes to get it done. He explains in the autosport article that Campos had nothing when he walked in, so it will be some miracle if they make it but atleast they are trying.
USF1 on the other hand are just screwed. The FIA should stop fannying around and call it a day for them and get Stefan GP in, atleast they have a car ready to go.
