i think i would have crashed with a quick car at 18. not even driving like a twat, but speed awareness and judging distances etc, i think its good you cant get a quick car till you build experience up!
im now 23 and paying 1300 FC (cars a group 20)

And a 1.2 Corsa in the wrong hands is enough to go out and kill a load of people through speeding.
exactely any car in the hands of an idiot is deadly. Doesnt matter on the power of the car an idiot is an idiot.

nothing wrong with young folk havin fast cars imo.
but speaking from personal experience. young peeps dont get paid much (generally speaking)
so its harder for them to maintain them.
and not buying tyres, breaks could result in accidents.
but if your a daddy/mummy boy and get things like that paid for then you should be alrite

I think the main issue is the frequency and cost of claims. Its just maths.

4k a year insurance. Jesus more money than sense
he earns 37k a year and has nothing to spend it on.
i earn more than that and would i fuck pay 4k for insurance most i paid was 2600 which was the biggest mistake ever
currently paying 1k on the focus, would never pay more than that now.
he must be really bored to spunk 4k on insurance tbh. lovely car that cupra though.
its only money to him at end of the day, hes not fussed. He loves the car though
he got 18 points for 4 bald tyres and tailgating me in his old 106 when he was 17, police said we were racing when we werent. I wouldnt race my brother incase anything happened I could never forgive myself, but because he was close behind me police said we were racing, plead not guitly and he got done with dangerous driving due to tailgating, as for 4 bald tyres, his old wheels were on whilst getting his toora's re furbed, stupid mistake to make but he was only 17.

He can spend it on me if he wants.

Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah...whoah...whoah.
I was first.
I mean... I won't touch it and I won't be anyone's bitch, but I WAS, first.

I think the power matters alot tbh, insurance companies are going to say that a younger driver is "more likely" to crash with a bigger engine and this is logical thinking, although under 25's seem to have been labelled as yobs and all drive dangerously. I partially agree with your point but not fully.

Its about respect tbh,
If you respect your car, respect the power it has, you will be less likely to have a crash.
If you go out there thinking your the dogs bollocks, you will, inevitably, crash.
I wouldnt even say power matters tbh,
Nic Barnes has a 500+ bhp corsa, and hasnt hit anyone, yet drives every day.
But the amount of people crashing their 1.2 is huge.
