Quick update folks...

Due to some financial set backs it's going to be a little while until I get my parts fitted so I thought I may as well clean them up until they are sorted....

As the weather was stupidly hot yesterday I set about cleaning down and trying to polish the exhaust manifold as it's fairly dirty (plus I was doing fuck all )!

I used the following:
Scotchbrite

Sandpaper

Petrol

Cloth

Metal Polish

Previous pic (from April):

2hours 30 mins later:

So getting there but still a good few hours work left to go and hopefully it'll bring it up well

Some other snaps of work my mate has been doing to his Honda CB500 (dirt/track/motocross bike)...

His garden ended up like this:

But it was worth it

Comments / opinions welcome!

Well I haven't updated the thread in a while... but I'm pleased to say over the next couple of weeks the car is going to be making some changes!!!

I've booked it in @ ARtech tuning for a full remap next Saturday (27th) for my 23rd Birthday treat

Anyway my mate spent 4-5 hours fitting my inlet manifold today and here is a snap after it was done:

VTEC sounds so much better now (much more raw) it also feels like it pulls reasonably well in mid-range (fuck knows why)?

Update!!!

Civic got mapped at Eurospec yesterday by Romain

After having my exhaust manifold and engine mount inserts fitted on Friday I had the Civic booked in at Eurospec at 10am on Sat....

A full tank of Tesco Momentum 99 and 1 hour 30 mins later we arrived....

The unit was packed full of Jap sports cars and other sporty jap cars which made mine look so mediocre

Anyways here are the snaps:

---

The size of that turbo 1000bhp
---

Civic on the dyno... my mate kindly using the heating as it was freezing!! Cheeky fooker even gave me the finger when I took a snap
---

---

---

240.6 bhp at the flywheel and 201.7 bhp at the wheels oh and 172lbs/ft of Torque

Romain said a result of 235bhp is very good on these rollers with the mods so 240 is amazing

Car pulls so much better now get a nice boost of vtec and torque between 5-6k

Went through a tank and a half yesterday so better start taking it easy from now on

On the way back on the A303 I managed to hold off a Skyline GTS he was sat on my arse up a hill @ *cough* 140 *cough* I moved over and he couldn't get past

Another update...

Finally getting the bloody paint fade sorted

The car is being resprayed in Honda Championship white (the wheels are also being refurbed and sprayed the same colour ).

I have also bought a couple more goodies for it:

Honda OEM Wind deflectors

Spoon Sub Silencer (bung)

Spoon Progressive Springs

It will eventually look like this once complete (except the JDM plate):

Will provide further updates once it's complete

Doesn't look like a 30th Anni mate.. no rear tints, no recaro's!!!

Yea the depths of the engine bay and the boot floor will still be red but that's a price I'm willing to pay!

Cheers mate,

It's being done through a mate's mate... £1100 for full respray and wheels done.. which isn't too bad at all!

I've told him a few people are interested in getting work done from him and he said he'll get quotes after he's finished mine so I'll let you know

Not a full respray though if you aren't getting under the bonnet etc done.

Fair play changing the colour,Champ White EP3's do look good, but does look a bit pikey not getting a full respray.I certainly wouldn't buy a car that was 2 different colours inside out.

The bonnet is staying carbon... the top mounts in the engine are being sprayed as well... it's only going to be the depths of the engine bay and boot floor which will be red...
