if it was my own car then yes I would TBH
However I drive my car hard and recover most of my fuel throught he company
the only reason i get a derv is because of the tax benefit otherwise I would have a petrol turbo

I average about 28mpg tbh I normally drive it fairly slow.. however when the mood strikes me I will tec it all the way home that must be sub20 mpg I'd have thought.
I spend about £50 a week on fuel.

i currently get about 40mpg in 1.0...
most i had out of it was 55mpg though on stock wheels and a steady run..
I want a big 2l car(E36 coupe or 200sx) but i hate to think about petrol bills, and just ignore the fact of how enjoyable it would be to drive one of them cars

when i first got my 1.4 sport i done a whole tank in 170 miles, thats £45 which is roughly 19mpg.
Now i drive alot more sensibly and i stuck £30 in when it was just above the red, i got about 190 miles which is about 32mpg.
I wouldnt be bothered if i was working properly and that, but at the moment i only work weekends and go college during the week

Wouldn't really worry me if while I'm not doing many miles but it would annoy me if it doubled the price of a shopping trip. Mate of mine had an S5, said it cost 50 quid to get to the Trafford Centre. That is a pair of pants when you get there wasted on the journey.

Ermmm I don't really bother that much because I tend to try and not do too many 'wasted' journeys so if I've gotta go out and spend money on fuel then so be it...
It's filling up for commuting that bothers me mostly, I do about £50 a week in my van and I drive that sensibly but only get about 400 miles out of it. Vans aren't very good on fuel tbh.
Filling the car is just for pleasure use so again it doesn't bother me, I average 20mpg at the moment. Only time I try and get good MPG on the instant is when sitting on a motorway. Having said that I've had the car a month and done about £400 over 1500 miles...but I'm putting that down to being my first turbo car and it'll hopefully improve.
And the bike does about 110 miles to £17 (but I haven't filled it up since August last year so might be more now) and that's more or less flat out so pretty good really.
Actually the most depressing thing is when I fill the car up after using it during the day and then get in the van and go to work and I need fuel again, filling up with £50 twice in a day is very depressing.

How old is the car?
2004, 1.4 theres defo somethin wrong! i think it could be the coolant temp sensor because the fan never comes on even when the temp is up to 90. but im not sure if the cts gives the signal to the rad fan and/or the dash temp guage. if its both then the cts is fine, if its just the fan it could be that and if its neither then it might be something else altogether

Honda pissed me off as the performance didn't warrant the amount of fuel it was using, its dog slow
Not sure what MPG the astra will be getting, wont be great id imagine.

Less than that.
He'll have been on a ragga so I've no real sympathy. Does make you wonder what you could buy instead though.

I've gone from averaging 38 in the punto to 29/30mpg in the Civic.. works out about a tenner more a week as the tank is slightly larger, I still get the 300 miles i did..
Thats mainly motorway miles aswell picking up the mrs, i do about 52miles to work and back a week.
I would love to run the Civic on super too, i treated it the first week i got it, but sod filling it up at 1.22 a litre

I don't care about Fuel Economy atall.
Never have, even when I was on shite apprentice wages.
But, I hate the current fuel prices - was around 60-70ppl when I started driving. Almsot double that at a few places now.
