Guy that owns a few restaurants near me has a red one, its in a garage atm awaiting a new engine

Had a water leak, kept topping it up with water over winter, then some one was ill in his family, so went abroad to see them, and left the car on the drive, water froze inside the engine and cracked one of the heads aparently.

Better than that, I drive a battered up Metro everyday. A chap at work the other day said to my Dad "That Metro Jay drives everyday is shit and falling apart. Why don't you get him a new car?" To which he replied "Mind your fucking business!"
No chance of borrowing some cash for me LCR then!

I'd have thought the chose pedantic comments would have been:

a) Wheel off no axle stand
b) Jacking car up on un-even surface

But not the brand of the jack

How demeaning. His dad isn't a lucky man. He didn't find the Ferrari and got to keep it. He has probably worked hard his whole life and earned that car.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Still, it isn't luck is it. He has worked hard to be able to afford it. unless his money is from a lottery win, but for a guy who runs his own business, he is clearly successful and determined. but still, not lucky.

some people, no matter how hard they try, can't get a decent job with a decent wage, or have made mistakes in the past which could affect them working.

this has nothing to do with thegsi's dad of course, but still, just a general thing.

Wow some serious chat goin on here. Graham88; yes its a Halfords tool kit, not poverty spec, but its Halfords. It's used to take wheel nuts off like any other set. The fact that its a Ferrari makes no difference. The brand of jack; Yeh so what? The uneven surface; We couldn't care less. We have a huge unit behind that shot but my Dad was adiment that I had to jack it up there

Ste W and Ben G; Yes my Dad has worked his ass off to build the business up over the past 30 years. He's been bankrupt twice so things havent been easy but now he's in a position where he can own a Ferrari and a brand new 300c and 2 V12 XJS's and 4 56 reg Transits and 10k worth of private plates etc etc but I won't go on All of it will be mine if I play my cards right and knuckle down.

Oh and the wheels, they don't fit, even with spacers so they're going back!

Thanks for everyones kind comments
