How easy is it to extend the cables when you move the afm chris? Ive never heard of there being a problem with it being to close to the turbo, surely it would be the same if it was a 1.9 or a 2.2.

Not sure yet, havent got the airbox yet . Cant see it being hard, bit of solder and heatshrink to do it properly. Aye, never heard of that problem before, 1.9 has the AFM in the exact same place.
2.2 Airbox also has the advantage that my courtney panel filter will fit, z22se and z20let share the same filter.

1.9 has the afm closer to the airbox, and when fitted correctlydoesnt require the afm wires to be extended.

Ah yeah, AFM is right at the mouth of the airbox on the 1.9.
Received the 2.2 airbox today, fitting it atm. Also got my phone back, so will take photos

Finally a picture update, but I forgot to take a decent pic of the new headlights
Anyways, first job of the night was to underseal the rear arches:
Got it all over the shocks, no matter as the new ones will be going on this week:
Next job was to fit this:
Z22SE Airbox, plus a opel badge for the boot (Not fitted yet)
Halfway through the job:
AFM Wires cut, extended, and finshed:
Need some new plastic covering for the wires, but taped it up for now.
Noticeable difference with it, might be because the courtney panel filter that was in the Z20LET airbox is filthy, so have the standard filter in for now untill I clean the panel filter.
Oh yeah, still need a filter for the breather pipe, so its left looking silly atm

Well today was not a very productive day
Fitted the rear shocks and springs fine, looks good, wasnt going to take any pics untill I did the front aswell.
Removed the front shocks, undersealed under the front arches. Down to the garage to get the top mounts changed over, then while putting the shock back on the car:
Utter pain in the arse, phoned LMF who said it might be a defective shock, so they sent me out a new shock, wont get it till monday though. Snapped with hardly any pressure on it .
Seeing as the car is off the road till monday at the earliest, decided to buy new top mounts too as the old ones were very, very rusty. Also needed two new droplinks as I had to burn the old ones off
Going to be a whole new set of front suspension on it near enough
So thats the car looking like this for the weekend:

With your airbox did it make any noise difference whilst the turbo spools? or just the same?

Made the dump valve a lot louder, have hardly driven it since I fitted the airbox to really tell.
Still waiting on my replacement shock from LMF, but gave it a full clean while it was up on axle stands, wash, clay, polish and wax. Also fitted my rear opel badge, looks much better over the vaux badge.
Noticed that the n/s front wheel has a dent in the rim on the inside, and the tyres are getting a bit low, so next mod will get getting the wheels refurbed I think
On nightshift atm, so tomorrows jobs when I get up are to change the pollen filter, main beam and sidelight bulbs, and hopefully the shock and new top mounts turn up so I can get it back on all fours!
Still no sign of my irmscher rear lights yet either!

Aye pollen filter is behind the glove box, never tackled it today though as its fucking snowing
I did order black ABS mesh, but they sent me the wrong stuff, sent it back, but still waiting for the replacement mesh
On a brighter note, the Irmscher lights finally turned up today

Got some pics of the irmscher rear lights, and also the opel badge I fitted yesterday:
Also found that the Z20LET panel filter is slightly bigger than the Z22SE filter, so my Courtenay Sport panel filter wont do . For sale now though, just been freshly cleaned and oiled

Got my phone back again, so took some pics
New top mounts turned up, still waiting on the fucking shock though, better arrive tonight or ill be phoning LMF
Anyways, I had my rocker cover off a few days ago as the gasket was leaking oil into the spark plug holes, so while it was off I gave it a few coats of ford graphite grey, same colour as the wheels will be going.
Bought a OPC spark plug cover, got two in the post though, but one was broken . Anyone want a free (broken) cover?
Before:
After:
Dont like the power pipe at all, its too narrow aswell. Think ill go for a different type, perhaps a silicon job instead.

I put a small filter on the end of the original breather pipe that attached under the crossover, can see it in the pics. Might get a catch tank in the future.
