I'd be worried about putting stuff on it!

Not worth actually paying to have it clear coated?

The last Nurburg astra I saw had clear coat over the stickers? whats the score there then? And the metalic ones are all clear coated?

The thing is no point having a clearcoat put on when you can replicate it with decent detailing products i.e. what vxrmarc done to his.

I imagine all the other colours have clearcoats.

Clearcoat on the stickers? Do what now

That's had some abrasive shit on it, I imagine it was a wreck previously and had gone pink and needed some serious DA action to restore it.

Oh I see, in that case it's probably had a front ender and the sprayer without knowledge of shonky Vauxhall spray jobs added a clear coat to the front end.

You would just EXPECT the car to have a clear coat with UV filters, if red started coming off I'd be thinking "oh my fucking god, must have been a bad day at the factory"

Thing is Davey, it's not just Vauxhall/GM it's everyone.

Have you seen the state of BMW/Audi paint work? Orange peel is horrendous and that's on the high end stuff as well.

When the VOC regs changed they all had to go clear coat even on solids, prior to that it was 2 pack solids and prior to that cellulose

I've noticed the bumpers never match on cars any more because they cant put enough paint on them to cover up black!

Also the red was changed from the above 05 Flame Red, in 2007 it became Power Red which some say is an 'improved red' and is less prone to fading...but tbh if you take care of the paint anyway it wont fade.
