What's the most common way of people making these decently faster? What engines go in them fairly easy?

Major thing is the rust on the arches, most have this even if its just in early stages. Mine has corrosion on the inside which I would think will eventually break through.

its because the archs are rolled with a badly designed seam. Traps the water

my mom bought a 1.7 v reg black puma yesterday..

drove well (no knocks or bangs)

few rust bubbles on the rear arch but know they go on most of them (glad there untouched like some we have viewed)

heaters work on hot and cold

windows go up fine, smooth and go into the rubbers fine also

the front bumper and wing have been replaced (nothing came up on the HPI)

its done 100k miles but has full service history and the cambelt was done at 85k miles

she paid £1000 for it..

The one I went to see was a bin, didn't even drive it

Going to see another one today, it's a 1999, black, 1.4, FSH, 100k, 12 months MOT & 6 months tax up for £995. Hopefully it's ok, no picture so not sure what to expect :S

They drive great. Look a bit girly. My Mum has one. I like driving it but not being seen in it so much!
