tbh dave, it isn't gonna get any hard wear on it or anything, I think I would have just given it a quick sand allover to give it a key, and painted over it! Will be with mine anyway lol.

That is seeming like the easier option at the moment The paint came off of the Corvette instantly whereas this was sat around with the 'mors on it for ages and barely anything happened. Would be much easier to go over it I doubt there's that many layers of paint on it anyway.

Thanks mate, if I can find a model with wheels that look a bit like Softstars then it'll be all good! Trawled eBay for ages looking at models and a couple come close and they're Vaux models, but at £16ish just for the wheels it's a tad on the expensive side

Slightly off topic Dave but why didnt you keep the softstars off your B and put them on the C?

Because I don't really like Softstars on C's that much, prefer the SRi's on it Plus the steelies I have are desperate for new tyres so would have meant spending £120ish for a set of tyres for those too.
In a way I wish I'd have kept them because I would have used them whilst getting the SRi's refurbed But oh well. Live and learn.

There's a bump and a half
No progress I'm ashamed to say It's still all sat on the worktop in my garage. Really must get on with it, especially with the good weather at the moment.

Good news, everyone!
Today the model found itself keyed with 1200 grit and dressed in primer. Tomorrow will be tricky as I need to find a way of masking most of it off so that I can paint the rear bumper, scuttle panel and preferably arches/skirts in black before I put the blue on.
My fan has been gradually getting slower and slower so I changed the battery in one of my guitar pedals (where the other one came from too) and bodged them together. It works much better now
A note for anyone still interested in having a "mini-stand" on my dash at PVS: u2u me and we'll make arrangements. Thanks.

It's now a different colour I have decided to paint it blue and then put the black on top, providing I don't take half the paint off when I mask it up
I wasn't able to get any paint on the bottom of the sills etc so I modified my stand thing slightly and gave them some pant, but I think I was too close so it's ruined some of the paint on the lower half of the car, hence no close ups I'll be giving the affected areas a sand and re-paint tomorrow.

Yup I think I'm getting the hang of it now too.
The fan only spins really slowly now so I'm thinking it's either clogged up with paint or the batteries are dying even more It's not really a big bother anyway seeing as I've been doing it outside at the end of the garden.
