Exactly. I mean come on, if you fill the tank it'll be about another fiver or tenner on top of what it was last year, and that is essentially not having a takeaway one week. It's not the end of the world.

Get 2 vehicles as mentioned. Best thing I ever did.

Diesel van for work and pottering around and getting 400 miles to a tank.

2.3 Turbo car for showing off/blasting on sunny days and getting 180 miles to a tank of pure fun!

old skool rules! New cars are made from old coke cans and are designed to last no more than 10 years...at a push.

Get something thats a bit older and it'll last longer and cost less.

do you mean older as in corsa b old or older as in mk4 escort rs turbo old?

as corsa b's don't seem to have a long life span judging by the rust that alot seem to have on them.

i love my proper old skool. Prefer the mk3 escorts to the mk4 (so S1 RST and RS1600i) and mk1/2 astra etc. But any car made after sort of 04/05 seems to have poor build quality. And almost every car i've worked on...the interior stinks!

Just what i've picked up over the last couple of years.
