I've a bad cough this morning think I'll stick in a claim, it must have been caused by the volcanic ash.

Just goes to show you can't keep people happy at all.

If they shut the airports its an over-reaction = people complaining. A plane full of people crashes = people complaining.

Ash is basically snow type concrete.

I wouldn't want to fly in it.

Europe may be effected by the end of thios evening, depends how is dissipates. But as its in the jet stream, it'll flow straight into northen europe.

My boss was due to pickup some people from Gatwick who were flying in from Bologna. They aint flying no-where

even when they reopen UK Airspace, there will still be countries that are still enclosed by the ash so flights will be delayed further

Fine you, have a CAA disciplinary meeting, write you a letter, take your licence, make you have mandatory re-training. They get pissed off if you fly in people's airspace!

What if you fitted a pair of .50cal Brownings to it and a drop tank and flew to Berlin to take on the Reichstag?

You could put some pretty decent holes in stuff.

Police helis can presumably go up. As I read it the ash is floating about at 20,000ft and they wont go that high, I believe the no-fly restriction doesn't apply to visual flying - i.e. stay out of the clouds.
