Tip:
Its cheaper to have your heating on all the time, but at a slightly lower setting as the house temp is maintained.
If you turn it off, the house gets cold, and you have to have the heating on a higher power for constantly longer which ends up costing you more money.
Tried and tested in 3 houses.

that winds me up aswell when ever we leave dad in the house on his home EVERY single window is wide open and it could be snowing outside and still does it we come home and end up wanting to stay outside where its warmer, so then have to have the heating on for ages to get it up to some sort of habitable temperature

I've not got enough rads in my house downstairs (well i have, but the bloody rabbits are in front of one so had to turn that off).
Dunno about smaller ones, but basically, when the house is up to temperature, its far easier and cheaper for the heating to maintain that temperature, than to keep letting it get cold, then re-heat, then get cold the next day, re-heat.
rather than the heating system coing on constently for like 3+ hours, it only comes on in short bursts as the overal temp is higher and maintained.

I think cats are, one minute you're stroking them being nice, the next they're clawing your eyes out... I don't like cats.

I quite like cats, only ever had one that didnt like me.
Was good at christmas, went to my parents and saw all 3 of theirs sat on a sofa, went over to the oldest one and stroked her which she was cool with, went to the kitten (I say kitten he's about 2) and the middle one went to kill my arm for touching him. I think she is a bit protective of him.
