So since i bought the car the paintworks been a down point.
Drivers side was missing a rear quarter rubstrip, and below the filler cap was showing primer through.
Decided to remove the rubstrip, started to clean the glue with petrol and ended up making it worse (Despite having used petrol to clean glue off of my old corsas).
The guy who painted my car told me it had probably been painted with aerosols and hadnt been laquered/prep'd properly hence the reaction to petrol.
AFTER -
Also got one of these from 'Twag'

What time we talking? Moved round to boswells carpark about 10:30.
Other side will be getting fully painted as well, drivers side had quite a bit of tidying up on the back quarter done and a fresh fuel cap as the locking tab was broken.

The one beside mecca bingo, directly across from boswells, used to be the 4 cats.
Will be in once the other side is painted, and get a mount, ecotec plate & inner CV's.

Today constructive update -
Private plate allocated, legal pressed plates fitted
Stripped the back brakes, cleaned, adjusted, greased & adjusted the bearings as well.
Then as soon as i rebuilt it all and checked the handbrake, adjustment was spot on but the cables themself felt tight, so will replace them later in the week.
Also cracked the hamerite out as i'm showing the car locally at the weekend.
Cleaned inside my alloys, mates going to get me some TFR to get them spotless before Sunday.
All finished.
Polished my pipe.
Nice arse.
