Sounds about twice what it should be. I recently paid 400 at whats probably one of the most expensive paint shops around here to get some damage fixed to a door, half the door painted & blown along the 3/4 panel & D pillar & that was in BMW 'individual' paint which probably costs lots.

its silver shit colour to paint pain in the arse to blend in thats why they quoted you so much i expect but if the place i work out quoted you they would do it for a tenner lol they quoted £2k to paint a whole 18ton lorry and 4.5k to to a full barre metal restoration on a fiat dino its been in the workshop for over a year now cost of work so far 10k lol

Have you had the rear door cars off for a look? Mine are quite bad, visible outside but the insides are slightly more scary. If you want it tidy you'll need to address that as well because it'll come back otherwise.

yeah, had a look behind there and behind the arch carpets its all solid behind no rust, which is why i anticipated a fairly cheap fix

Talking of more over ambitious pricing, scrappy today wanted 90 quid for a pair of scabby mk3 mondeo calipers, bear in mind i can get the same off ebay for 40 for both, but i just thought id rather see what im buying and the condition etc.

Offered the scrappy 60 but they were having none of it, so i gave them back

steve go to bridges (crawley) next time your at your missus last weekend we got a set of calibra v6 calipers disks and what looked like brand new pads a saxo fog light various bits of trim for £50
