If you wanted it sorting then trading standards will probably be more than happy to help you out. They helped me own that garage who sold me the Corsa with the shot engine when trying to use the sold as seen trick.

Plus, who in fucks name would go pay for a set of brake pads, then go home and change them for some old ones to get a new set.
That way you have 2 sets of brake pads for the price of one
I'm just giving a perfect example of what they can do.
Great, definitely worth the time and effort for a set of pads that are worth the grand sum of fuck all.
Everything has a price. If you know where to get brake pads for fuck all, please let me know, i'd liek a set.

Even doing 6000 miles in a week wouldn't wear a set of rear pads down, they're being completely unreasonable, I'm surprised you're letting it lie tbh

I'd have told them there and then that they're to sort it tbh. You paid for them to be changed and they weren't changed, end of.

I wouldn't have walked away and left it. I'd demand a new set there and then. I'd have the wheel off to prove they are the old set.

So why bother moaning about it on CS though
If you thought they were in the wrong you should of done something about it, otherwise the garage will probably either a) Continue to make mistakes, or b) Rip people off for charging them for work they haven't done.

we do about 100miles to a set of pads.
It is possible to wear them away quickly.

And I bet his discs would be bright blue.
Always ask to see the old bits that have been replaced next time.

Same after all you've only yourself to blame if something goes wrong which is unlikely as im sure you wouldnt do a half assed job on your own car jepordising your own safety, garages dont really give a fuck and its usually some spotty little ugly ginger bastard sent to do your work after hes made the tea and swept the flooo! If im ever in doubt i ask a very well known mechanical wizard called 'Mutley'

I love all the garage generalisations that get put about when something goes wrong. I'm guessing you all praise the fuck out of mechanics when they fix your car for you then? Or probably just moan about how much its cost.

I give the one and only mechanic praise because i know hes shit hot and i give jobs to him as homers,as im a friend of the family its cheap rates to and know his work is to the highest standard. Dont praise any garages for fuck all because i dont use them.Do alot of work myself for peace of mind and to save alot of money.

Cars cost money to run and maintain. If a garage does a good job then i'm happy to pay that little extra. I've never really had work done to cars apart from servicing and don't really know any decent ones local. Always used main dealers for servicing. Vauxhall and Peugeot have always given me a good service if i'm honest.
As with my job in IT, things will always go wrong and i assume it is the same with cars. If the mechanic is honest and sorts out the problem then fair enough.

I'm guessing due to his career he doesn't really want to spend all his free time pissing about with cars.
I'm the same, if it costs a few hundred quid a year to maintain my car then i'll pay a garage to do it. I did start messing with my car a few weeks back but then come Monday, i'm knacked from the weekend. I've also driven my car once since all the work i put in. So what's the point.
