unless its a track/race car i never really see the point in striping it .. ive done a few trackdays in my shed now and it still has all its interior stereo with sub in the boot etc, wouldnt have it any other way as its 99% used on the road where stripping 30kg out the boot and makeing a front end heavy car even lighter on the back seem abit pontless to me.

Yeah but difference you have mate is your car is quick, it's like me stripping the Astra totally pointless it has the power to stay with most things on track.

It does indeed, but you can still have immense fun without it.

power alone doesnt win on track far too many factors to base it all on power, power is a large factor, so is driver ability, brakes, and handling

Indeed, no point having lots of power if the cars not set up right. I'd rather have an average powered car set up perfectly.

I'm going mad here at the sheer lunacy of Lt Gen James Longstreet tactics at Gettysberg.

Torque is also a factor, 50kg is nothing when you have 250lb/ft +, but if you only have 100lb/ft or so, it will make more of a difference

thing is...its all about power/weight.

you can either put more power down to combat the weight, or you can reduce the weight so the power you have has more effect.

As for handling...you can correct it by changing the suspension set-up and geometry.

I like you Nic Barnes, what you see is what you get. I find that a rare thing in todays internet based society.

Keep up the good work.
