Certainly looks neater, cant decide if it looks better or not though mate, the wall-mounted shelves aren't my cup o' tea but if your happy with it then who cares!

Did you check viewing height before mounting it? Looks a bit high especially as your sofas are quite low

it's perfect viewing height. my dad checked it.

the shelves are mounted in a long bar that hides all the wires.

i wasn't keen at first but it looks much neater than having wires dangling down everywhere.

I'd much rather have that pad than a Focus ST. Very nice.

Normally limit buying those Canvas prints from B&M Homestores (dunno if you have them down there, might be Home Bargains to you?) but will have to give Matalan a try, always on the lookout for things I can hang off a pin instead of wrecking my new walls with screws, which I can never get perfect

my dad managed to get some boards off his mate for the grand total of nothing and he's going to sort that out for me.

electrics all working in the garage now, got my tumble dryer set up and ready.

just need to get a couple of flourescent lights up and get the floor painted still, then get a punch bag and a couple of other gym bits in there, should look alright hopefully!

managed to finish painting the garage this week as the mrs has gone to scotland and isn't nagging

my dad has wooden boards for the ceiling so that's the next job.

all the paint and stuff will be going in a shed when i buy one as i want the garage for a punch bag/cross trainer.

i also sorted out all the weeds that were in the front garden and driveway. there must have been over 100. took fooking ages didn't take any pics but it looked like it hadn't been done in about a year

bought some plastic shelf things from b&q today. keeps everything tidy in the garage.

the puma does fit in there, but i had to do a dukes of hazard style exit to get out the car

when i get a shed all the stuff will be going in there so will be much more space for the car.

the paint was from screwfix, this one:

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/49596/Paint/Floor-Paints/Leyland-Heavy-Duty-Floor-Paint-Slate-5Ltr

the colour of mine is frigate grey instead of slate. looks quite nice imo.

the unit's were £29.98 each, these:

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9796511&fh_reftheme=promo_159030093,seeall,//catalog01/en_GB/categories%3C{9372014}/categories%3C{9372040}/categories%3C{9392025}&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=//catalog01/en_GB/categories%3C{9372014}/categories%3C{9372040}/categories%3C{9392025}/specificationsProductType%3dshelving___cabinets&fh_eds=%C3%9F&fh_refview=lister&ts=1283200087727&isSearch=false

they looked flimsy but when set up they are fine. there's a lot of weight on mine and they aren't bending at all.
