Even if all that was true, which it isn't, Blu-ray holds considerably more than a DVD, that's a big enough reason that the xbox should have had it from the start.
Which would have made it ridiculously overpriced like the PS3 was at launch
Was cheaper than Blu-ray players and it cost the same as a 360 that could do the same so it wasn't really, thats an old argument though.
Eh? the PS3 cost loads more than the 360 when it came out

A 360 with wireless, hd-dvd (good shout microsoft) and a live subscription took it up to the same price as a PS3.
Although expensive the PS3 was good value.

Oh right I see what you mean
Stuff like wi-fi and HD-DVD is all optional to 360 owners though, you only have to buy it if you want it.
Whereas with the PS3 you have no choice but to pay for a Blu-Ray player even if you don't want one.
it's all 'perceived' value

You've obviously chosen to ignore that bit, they did need live and mostly wireless though, even if the hd-dvd was an extra.

Another N00b question from myself.
Can you take of the cover without invalidating warranty? Are there any tell tale signs if its been removed ie security stickers over certain screws?
I want to take the cover off and blow out all the shit with compressed air.

It will void it definitely yes. It'll have a tamper evident security/warranty sticker.
Are you talking about a classic 360? Just pull the faceplate off and you'll see. You can get around it if you're handy with a heat gun. You'll need a Torx10 to get it open, and screw compressed air, get the hoover in there

When did you get it? I'm guessing you're still actually under warranty then?
If you just take the faceplate off, then you'll be able to pull the grey covers either side off to reveal the shell inside. You'd probably be able to give it a good sucking from there. Obviously not as good as if it was apart.

If it's got a little bit of warranty left, you could deliberately overheat it and send it back so you've got a nice fresh one

What's the trade in deal being offered by Game? I've seen the prices but i can't find whether you need a controller/cables/box etc?

You need a complete working 360 with everything you would get if you bought it new. I doubt they would take it with stuff missing as they cant sell it on but i didnt ask.
They took my wireless network adapter without a box but i think they come in a bubble pack.

Granted it's not GAME, but Blockbuster wouldn't take a 360 off me the other day without a pad, probably similar.
