One of my cats had a hernia as a kitten and he's fine. Went away after a while. What vet was this? Not the one on panarama the other night?

I'm not claiming any benefits so I can't go with RSPCA.
We found the vets at PSCA very rude, they said he will be fine and we should ignore it even though he's very sick.
Anyway, he's in theater having his operation now, we paid a £200 deposit.
He's only 6 weeks old and it's just smaller than roughly the size of a ping pong ball, because of his age, that's where the risks are involved with the anesthetic...if he's under it for too long he will die

thanks very much. We was SOOO close to having him put to sleep 'cus he was being ill but...it's worth a shot to try save his life. +2% chance, is better than 0% chance, surely?
thanks

Just got a phone call.
He lived through the op! He defied the odds and lived through that...but
he had a tiny bit of guts trapped, it's gone purple but not rotted, so hopefully blood will circulate again and it will heal soon. Gonna ring up again at 10:30am to check on him, so glad he lived the op, he's defied odds and I hope he recovers well

same, thanks guys.
I'm sooo happy at the minute, I know the next 24 hours are crucial, but he's over 1 hurdle and it's the best £200 we ever borrowed.
She thought he would die in the op, but he didn't, he was onlyunder anesthetic 10 minutes

Would it not be sensible to get insurance?

obviously we tried but they do not insure cats so young. They won't touch them until they're at least 12 weeks old and even if you do get insurance, you can't claim on it for 10 days

the mum is black & white but we assume the dad is tabby. Even the black & white kittens have tabby stripes faintly in their fur.
It was amazing though, her first litter and we get 4 healthy kittens, 1 boy tabby, 1 girl tabby, 1 boy black&white, 1 girl black&white.
