The R1 was broken then. It would absolutely destroy a 450bhp Skyline from 0-170mph.
R1 should have walked that.

It was from 60-130, then the rider backed off.
But a lot of bike riders are shit tbh (not that I could do better), whether or not they should be faster it wasnt and I have been in a few cars upsetting cars and bikes that "should" be faster.

What about an E92 M3? Easily within budget and very nice cars. Or is that a downgrade comapred to the RS6?

Yep, single, no ties apart from my house and my dogs! Work in IT during the week and am a snowboard instructor at weekends.
Hmmmmm, still undecided.
Hold up northen bufty, what happened to the building trade? When did you stick your oar in my patch of work? And more to the fact, WHY? It sucks
seriously though, what you doing in IT?
On topic, I had a dabble with a GTR in the VXR, it was laughable, an absolutle joke So i've tried it with my bike and its much better. Gearchange is insanely fast, and it it just goes.....
As said, big stories about maintenance not being cheap, but realistically, its not going to be any more than the TVR or RS6 are. just don't run into the back of any vans at 5mph...

but with a bike, you have to be careful not to flip the fucking thing by giving it the beans too much too early

Any decent rider knows that riding a bike you have to feed the power in not just whack the throttle open
Even on my 600 the front flies up if you whack it open never mind an R1

Yes
BUT if your in the financial situation to buy a car for 48K then i'm sure another 10/15K is in reach for what is considered a car in a different league depending on your requirements?

Took an M5 out this afternoon with a DMS remap (around 550bhp) and exhausts. Awesome, definitely more me! Not really an improvement on the RS6 just a sideways step to something a little newer and different I suppose? Didnt like the colour combo of the one I drove though so the hunt is on now!
GTR was awesome but I couldn't live with it day to day I dont think? Glad I took one out though to get it out of my system!
Thanks for your input guys as always........anyone know much about M5's?

Same as the RS6 I suppose, cos its so quiet and safe feeling inside it kind of waters the excitement down Suppose I cant have both though? Plus you cant properly kill it on a test drive! Think I will miss the 4WD security tho!
Power with the DMS upgrade is similar to the RS6, torque is down 100lb/ft tho, will I miss it?

At that level mate you'll probably never tell! Plus the box will be a lot better/smoother in the M?
Even though i'm not in the same league i'm missing my 4wd Scooby so much at the moment with all the rain we are having here you'd think it blunts the driving experience but it actually makes it.
Did you press the M button?

Dont think you can get much worse than the RS6 box to be fair Lets the car down! Reckon the 4WD slows it down as well once its on the move?
Think Ive made my mind up to be honest!!??
