well just bought some gsi rep skirts for now till i can get my hands on a propper gm set cheers matty101
also applied for a garrage application form from erimus theres one available 5 mins down the road so that will be goood will be able to get a start on the car soon as it warms up a bit £8 a week seems good to me will do for now
got the alloys all painted up in black but they will be getting a change of colour again as soon as the snow goes will try and get some pics up

just recived some genuine gsi skirts so the black ones will be getting sold..
engine is getting picked up from my mates tomorrow so i can crack on with it at my house .. will be taking the 1.0 out of my car soon.. as it dont drive no more its gave in so more of an excuse to crack on and get the 1.6 in
alloys have been sprayed black but not happy with the colour so will be getting changed as soon as the engine is in thinking of going white

looking well mate desn't even look too bad with that black boot on, might look good with a black roof and black bonnet lol
not heard of leaving stuff in vinegar overnight before (well only coins ive found in the bushes lol)

lol you wouldnt beleave how good that 13p vinegar is at removing rust soak it fucking stinks though
got a black bonnet off the sport just not the road im going to go down sticking with all arden going to bad boy the black bonnet i have then if i dont like it will sell it ..
engine is main priority at the moment as the cars nackerd then im going to sort bodywork ect: ..

got the engine home last night so thats a good thing ..
took sump off painted it just waiting on few parts for it now then start putting all the pipes & wires on
head gasket set is here waiting to be done but goin to do it once al the rest of the bits are here
waiting on oil sump gasket,sump plug,spark plugs,oil filter & a few other bits & bobs
need to go get the fluids for the engine & a radiator as the sport one was fucked ..

went back up my mates to pick the fuel pump & tank up & the scrap man has took it along with the radiator so a new radiator is on the list ..
what im wanting to know is can i use the tank and fuel pump from the 1.0 12v on the sport engine or do i have to go out and buy a fuel pump from a sport...

you can use the tank, but i think the fuel pump might not be powerful enough
ive got a fuel pump from a 1.6 16v sport if u wanna buy one mate

well after a good month or so of paying for a 4-2-1 manifold & decat i finaly reci ved them but it wasnt a 4-2-1 it was a 4-1 manifold but will do the trick for now cant complain for what i paid for them both
just need to source a few bit & bobs then the engine's good to go in tbh ive mis placed a few screws/bolts

them 4-1 manifolds are a nightmare if you want to lower it mate had mine 60 mm and it grinded over any bump in the road

and the 4-1 is just for now until i get the car running propperly then i will fork out for a 4-2-1

i paid £108 for my 4-2-1 manifold and decat so you got a right bargain there mate lol was it the one from those pics he sent you too? if so it looked nearly new

a think its a differnt one to the pics he sent me needs a good clean this one lol will give it a clean and get some pics up as soon as i can
anyone got any tips on cleaning a exhaust manifold .. ? was going to use brillo pads and get some brasso or something like that on it

hammerite on a manifold i think it would get too hot tbh ..
wanted to bring it back to stainless its not rusted its just gone like a dark colour if i cant get it nice and shiny will just spray it with exhaust paint

Just Heat wrap the manifold mate can make a massive difference!

fuel pump will be fine mate ive converted 1.2 16v's and 12v's to x16xe and didnt need to change pump will be fine pal i think u have to change the fuel pump if going from 8v to 16v
