If you want economy, don't buy a BMW diesel, unless it's a brand spanker.

Do some proper sums, I don't reckon you'll save that much money.

well said.

We have had ours for about 6 months now and although it doesnt have the massive BHP its really quite nippy; the last month or so i have been using it for work (50 mile round trip) and its saving me a fortune in fuel; using near a quater of a tank a week rather than a full tank that i was using in the BMW; think i have it on 60.9 MPG at the moment and love looking down and seeing that

Not ruled out petrol cars like I said. How reliable is a Mini Cooper S going to be for 6-7k?

you do realise paul j is going to bring a wheel chair now, just so he can race you like in Days of Thunder

Mate that was my exact thinking...

I'm gonna get Harry Hogge to put a real fine set of matched tyres on and aim to pass ojc around the outside of turn 4.

Fabia vRS (remapped)
Seat Leon FR/Cupra TDI
Seat Leon FR+ TDI (has the Cupra R style kit)
Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI

My uncle's Fabia vRS was amazing and reliable. Didn't fail once.

Yeah, a mate in work has one that he averages around 15mpg in. Add in to that the rediculous tax and BMW parts and servicing costs

Yeah they aren't the best for a small car, although I was happy with mine was getting 31.9 but that was going from the zm to it so most things were better on fuel!

Good fun cars tho, but a very firm ride!
