Yea bud. It was actually a thread you had made that sussed it for me

Whats different about the clocks that makes them not give the correct reading? I can't imagine what the difference between them would be?

Ah lol.

Basically the rev counter works on a pulse, a 4cylinder car has less pulses per min than the 3cylinder. (It co-insides with the coilpack/Ht leads/Spark plugs firing).

It is just purly the rev counter on the clocks that is different, the speedo/temp/fuel and all the back circuit are the same.

Yea I haven't glued it in yet, undecided on it Can't seem to get them white bits out of the corners and there annoying me

Tape slots? There slots for your coins

Todays attempted mod was to fit some rev counter clocks my dad got me. Pulled the kick panel of where the ECU should be to look for the green wire, no ECU was there, no green wire was there

Anyone know where the green wire is on these?
You must have big coins over there then as to me it looks like there's 4 diagonal slots for coins and a big hole split into 4 for tapes

Looks like I'm not fast enough on the ECU/rev counter front, but yeah you need clocks from a 12v for the rev counter to work right. I spent ages looking for some

Today I decided to lower the back since I had finished painting the rears. Doesn't look as if its even lowered in the pics for some reason and the pictures are shocking as I was freezing and it was getting dark!

Nice painted bits

Pictures were taken straight as it came of the jack so still has a bit of settling to do

I did my rears first and it looked like I had some fat people in the back, just like that, we did the fronts and took it down off the jacks and it was so much lower, it was fucking amazing lol

Ah well Not too sure then. Only thing i can think of is that they are 40mm's and not 60mm maybe? do have quite a lot of coils but that could just be to make them more stiff maybe

They better not be 40mm , if there 40s that means I was taken for a total dick , fucked shocks and then the springs.

Will see what it sits like when the fronts are fitted and once its settled.

I hope not!

I'm thinking it maybe because of where its parked? Its not very level on the stones. Will move it over onto the drive later and see what it sits like

Ah thats given me some hope! So when you fitted the fronts it made the back come down a bit more as well? If so you've given me some motivation to get the fronts on

Pointless update, stubby ariel fitted, needs to go black though.

Yeah mine looked like that It was horrible to drive too, was going to do the fronts a week after the backs but ended up doing them the day after!
Its going to look really nice when its done though and yeah it did come down more at the back, not a lot but it did because obviously the front will be holding it up at the moment, like we did the fronts seperatly and when we did the first one and put it back on the car it didn't come down much at all. We were really disapointed but once the other was done it came right down
Get the fronts done mate

The fronts still need a coat of paint, there sitting in primer. Gonna get the paint tomorrow, paint them (obviously ) then take of the standard set then on Sunday once the paint has hardened fit on the lowering ones

Thats the plan anyway
