The pit stops are a bit crap, i cant get the pit limiter right and keep on getting drive-thrus, so i have put that on auto for now.

If anybody had or played championship edition (the last proper one they did in 06) then its much harder than that, the car isnt on rails so much.

And the AI's do drive all over the place, and in usually ends up being you getting a penalty for the slightest bit of contact.

Im glad i bought it though

The 'Invalidate Lap' warning is absolute bollocks! I need to whip out my PS2 controller (a G25 is fucking stupidly priced, even secondhand) as using a keyboard is just wank

Once you get used to ways the way the car handles its very pleasing to play. Once you start ring clean laps one after another you feel good.

I tried to do a full length race weekend but give up half way through the race due to sore legs and backside Was playing 4 hours flat!

My only gripe is the AI is to easy to beat, in career mode I started in the Lotus, and I'm able to get pole position and 1st in practice sessions by over a 1 second margine. I'm playing in expert mode with all driving aids turned of.

Other than that I highly recommend it, I'm having great fun with it! 8 out of 10 for me

Amazing game, all the things I think it lacks would piss me off for being *TOO* realistic after a few tracks anyway. Only thing I would add is safety car etc

bought this last night from tesco, was very excited about playing it, PS3 btw.

What a dissapointment, so many bugs and the difficulty is non existent. Im playing on legendary AI and expert, and the AI is dissapointing, braking through pouhon at spa, which is virtually flat out in an F1 car maybe a couple of downchanges, first time through there I drove clean through the red bull diffusor, second lap, I went round the outside. The AI just seems to brake early for every corner, and even if you dont have a perfect line you wont lose any ground.

The damage is pretty poor, and the wet weather simulation awful, the AI pit as soon as it rains, you can stay out on slicks and post faster lap times. Wheres the opposite lock action, seems the only handling characteristic is understeer.

Graphics have loads of pop up everywhere, the sound is quite good though .

If they can release a few patches that address the issues than maybe it will be a decent game.

If your an F1 nut like myself, then you will probably be dissapointed, but for the casual fan I guess it suffices.

ok ive tried it..

graphics are ok, sounds are ok but the handling of the car jsut seems disconnected some how, there seems to be a lag between the time press go and te time it actually does it. it says on screen that ive pressed as i can see my rev counter moving but it just doesnt wanna go..

same with the brakes.

the steering is some what wierd, again codemasters have you controlling the actual car and not directly the wheels..

its seems ok tho for a bit of fun with your mates but thats about it.
