so when i came to insure the ctr i had 2 month left on my cupras insurance...girl at flux said they cant cover me on the car at all with highway or even if i started a new policy.
phone brentacre and they say 1380 so i take it with highway
phone flux to cancel my policy with them and the new girl says why when they can qoute the type r for 1080 but not with highway. i say well why wasnt i told this before i just paid a deposit on new insurance.
phone brentacre to cancel - 269 quid cancellation fee
phon flux and go fucking nuts and end up getting new insurance for 980
so im 160 odd worse off than if the stupid bint had told me she could do me a new policy ffs

This. Mine is quite a bit cheaper by adding my bird.

It says you have to declare them regardless of fault?!
I have no points on my licence and never have had, had 1 other accident again non fault 5years ago?!
Why is it so high? I tried Elephant, swift cover and one other I had never heard of. Guess trawling through the lot of them is the only way *sigh*
you have to declare it if you have made a non fault claim on your own policy. ie
had your car fixed by your insurer and theyve then claimed the cost back off the third party insurer.
if you claimed directly through the other insurer without your own insurer ever paying out at any point then you dont have to declare it when gettin quotes

only if you have decent cars yeah.
my mate had a traders policy (under his dads name), and it cost him £1500 a year to insure a shoddy old escort estate and a mondeo that cost him 100 quid and he was 25 at the time.

Jambo try SwiftCover.com. Loads cheaper for me this year. I'm certain companies alternate each year who will be cheapest.

although with swift, if you have to make a claim on your car, they'll take it to a bodyshop with £25/ph labour charges
