Why does the light need to come on at all?
You'll find with most cars that offer abs as an option all the dashes have the symbol yet on the ones with abs will light up on turning the key. The other never come on. No problems with the mot, and I'm pretty sure the mot tester will be none the wiser if it's meant to have it or not.

he did say though it will be ok if i can sort the sequence out, i asked him about if i remove the pump he said that would constitute as being obvious removal

it cant fail for not having abs though so you can do what you like with the pump etc as long as the light follows the correct sequence

My corsa has gone through 4 mot's at 4 different garages,
All with the abs removed and with the bulb taken out,
I think you are over thinking it completely, do you honestly think every one who removes their abs rigs the bulb to light up? I think not.

Can you just buy a new sensor and then make a thread about fitting it please?

difference is ABS was an optional on the Corsas.
