I don't think the Rooney saga tops the fact Liverpool are effectively Joint bottom

Therefore he will stay away untill they are somewhere mid table!

Does nobody think that this could have been done to keep his value high? And he could still be off next summer but for potentially alot more than if he only had 1 year remaining on his existing deal?

It would stop all the hate towards Rooney and ensure Utd get top money for him.
