I dont know how snow chains work but i would imagine once fitted the diameter of the lip over the tyre is smaller than the diameter of the tyre itself making it impossible to come off. Plus its made of metal not velcro so hardly comparable in terms of security.

Decided to check the coilovers out.
Socks were filthy, worse than they look in the picture!
But inside, all was good
I think they've been a relative success

Update 3
Took them off for the first time in a while. Didn't quite expect it to be Jan when they were last off, but hey ho.
They're still working I'm genuinely impressed with them!
So gave them a wash (not in the sink this time ) Gave the coilovers a wipe down, put a bit of Collinite on them and popped the socks back on ready for winter

So, for those still around/interested, it's been a little over 3 years since I updated last but I'm pleased to say I still utilise them and they live on my coilovers 365 days a year.
Took them off to have a look and give the socks a wash. (Had to resize and upload from iPhone so pics have gone a bit odd)
Other than everything needing a wash, they're fine
