TBH e36 bmws aren't very good at crashes just a 3* car, look at the ncap website, your better jumping into the passenger seat before having a head on .

I hate the whole claim culture thing as it's usually for something petty and minor.
But that could of easily killed someone from someone not doing their job properly in securing the load in the lorry, get everything you can from it.
Looks awful, but cars are meant to collapse in aren't they? Glad everyone is ok

For this exact situation I will not buy a small plastic car like the eco-twats want, can you imagine the devastation if you were in a smart car or something, no thanks, ill keep my big diesel lump in front of Mr to take the brunt

yeah, you can see where the a pillar to b pillar bit is intact meaning the energy has moved around the front and because the a pillar has stayed structurally fine, the door can be opened, meaning no roof chop off.
pretty good for a 3* car.

Heard about this at KH, that's very bad and also very lucky indeed that the stuff hit the front of the car and not the cabin.

Should get more than a few grand. Guy in my work walked away with 35k for an accident which, although he was injured from, looked nothing like the pictures in the OP.

reminds me of this that happened a good few years ago at the bottom of my road, RSJ's were not strapped down.
iirc the owner of the company got an 80K fine.
