Actually get paid on a pay band lower if i work OT so they can GTF NHS

Can work the following.
8.00 - 4.30
8.30 - 5.00
9.00 - 5.30
usually go for the 8 starts as its quieter getting into work and also coming home. plus it give me more of an evening.

last job was 9-5 apart from after about 2 years it went from 9-5mon-thurs and 9-4 on fridays
current just is 8.30-5 however im normally here for just after 8 but its also flexy and the core hours are 10-3 so providing i have the hours i can do 10-3 mon-thurs and 10-12on a friday

No it isn't always the same hence the weird hours. It isn't 8am till 6pm on the dot, but generally speaking that is what it is.
Like Fro I prefer doing earlier mornings and knocking off early, which is actually on time, if I can.
