Edition 30 Golf also gets my vote. Lovely interiors, nice to drive for a daily, and if you want to go that route then Stage 2+ is 360bhp.
Obvious thing would be for me to say MPS but for a daily I really would not recommend it. Mine costs me a fortune only running it at weekends!
K1 Leon also gets my vote, but you are effectively paying an 3k or say for a bodykit over the normal Cupra.... lovely cars though

Edition 30 without a doubt.
R32 is nice for the sound............that's it. They're slow for what they are & not very tuneable if you get bored of it. Edition 30 all day long!

R32s are tuneable if you spend money. I'd go for a mk4 r32 with a supercharger for that money.

I reckon you spend £3k on a fwd hatch then a further £9k trying to make it "better" than one that costs £12k and get as many e-points as possile

Because he wants to upgrade m8
You can see why he though if he has had a bad experience with a car it does put you off regardless of what that car is.

It's not an upgrade though is it? Honestly? It's a sidestep. He has replaced the gearbox, if he had fitted a LSD with uprated bearings he wouldn't have anymore issues with the gearbox.
Instead hes going to get a Golf and the dash is going to setfire when one of the sensors get a bit hot and then the interior will get soaked when the rear wiper starts leaking water into the car and shorts out the rear lights.

The upgrade bit was a wind up, thought the might of given it away!
I'm sure I could find a nice long list of faults for an Astra if I could be bothered. It's all much of a muchness but if he has had a bad experience with one brand but not with another then you can see why he wants to change to one he feels more comfortable with.

thats what i said in my first post, surely seems a bit pointless to have sold it to buy pretty much a similar car which potentially could have other problems
