I seem to remember buying a set of plugs for my 1.2 16v from Halfords on trade for like £6? Might get some tomorrow if they are that cheap
Like I said, getting some help from a friend tomorrow who knows his stuff mechanically, he said he would check the timing as well as if it's a tooth out the emissions would be LOL. Seems to run alright though...
Just would be nice to get a years ticket before the engine comes out, but, if it wants a new CAT then fook it

If it runs alright and pulls well, the timing is prob fine.
So, When it fails again, XE time?

Mad as a hatter Dave
Took the rear drums off today and cleaned them all out, the handbrake was sticking on the drivers side so sorted that out, then readjusted the cable up, feels much better now.
Changed the oil today and adjusted the clutch... we'll see what happens with the MOT now!

She's a bloody pass Love it, emissions details:
1st MOT:
1st emissions test:
CO 2.49%, should be >0.3, FAIL
Lambda 0.94, should be .97-1.03, FAIL
2nd emissions test:
CO 2.16%, FAIL
Lambda 0.95 FAIL
HC level was high but a pass.
2nd one:
1st emissions:
CO 0.57% FAIL
Lambda 1.02 PASS
2nd emissions:
CO 0.19 PASS
Lambda 1.01 PASS
HC level was also much lower.
He proper gave it some beans before the test though
He suggested I changed the handbrake cables, he said "It's a pass, JUST, but it aint too smart"

Saying that, my MOT is due. Fiat are doing it. Better not fail on emissions, head and valves been reworked.

Ignore them, they all read the Daily Mail and believe you ought to live your life in a particular way.
