Doing the Mens Health 30day plan right now
explain?
They have a booklet with this months mag which is a 30day plan, exercise and eating, with the aim of dropping 5% body fat, gaining 5% muscle, 10% strength and 10% better endurance.
Right now I'm on a rest day and seriously feel like I have ripped my shoulders apart so it must be doing something
I've got that booklet! do you do each plan a different day? as in power one day etc? Might give have a go as something to do on an extra day as im about to start a 10x3 routine

Been doing the exercise plans on the days recommended (although, my days arent in sync with theirs since I started on the 1st on a high of not having a hangover :lol
The eating part has been the tricky one, since I didnt have the foreplanning to buy in all the stuff I'd need to follow their plans and also some of it just looks
Only thing I'd criticise it on at the moment is the un-realistic notion for the cardio workout. 8s sprint, 12s jog. Takes the tread mill 12s to get from sprint pace to a jog!

I've only read the plans, not what days! where is that part? also i agree when i read about the treadmill end up looking like a tool! i was just going to do 60secs slow 30 secs fast. The bike one isnt too bad of an idea!

Yeah, would work a lot better on a bike than tread. I ended up just doing a fat burn programme on the tread mill.
At the back, it gives you the 4 week layout starting on the monday telling you what day to do which sets and giving you a food diary as well.

More of the second than the first.
I used to be able to do a lot more but then stopped doing them regularly. It does mean I can squat twice as much though

Managed 42. Possibly would have been better had I not been to the gym before hand
Mens Health programme has seen me ditch 3.5kg in 2 weeks. Quite pleased

Once you all hit the 100, try do another challenge.
10, rest 1 minute, 20, rest 1 minute, 30, rest 1 minute, 40 rest one minute etc all the way to 100.

As in, total 550 press ups.
Theres something a touch American Psycho about that tbh, although he was hung up on crunches.

I'd be amazed if anyone can do that. 90 pressups with 1 min rest followed by 100 after already having done over 300.

You build your strength up surprisingly quickly doing it! Definitely give it a go if you're thinking about it.

pull ups i can manager around 3 sets of 10 unless they are the wide pull ups where the palms of your hands are facing the same was your body (dont know the technical name of that pull up) but i can only manage 6 used to do 20 but not going gym for around 2 months has seen me go to shit .

started this last week on Monday. Managed 38 in initial test though I could have done a few more but didnt want to make the rest of the test hard for myself.
Did day one after and completed day 3 on Friday.
So far so good.
