Yep. They are still aligning the contracts since merged with Co-operative in August last year. Not expected to be done until Q2. Even then its doubtful any sort of payrise will be on the cards.

Don't deserve one until someone at britannia sorts my fucking DD out and stops taking money out of an inactive account that they've been told about 3 times!! I've been into the branch at Newton house and had it changed infront of me and come mortgage time they still try to take it out of the wrong account.

Sort it and you can have a payrise

Thats because noone knows what the fuck they're doing since Co-op came along coupled with the fact that the people who deal with that side of thing are all monkeys makes for some pretty poor customer service. Wouldn't even consider having my accounts with Britannia.

Fucking lol at peoples naivety. Voluntary redundancies have to be honoured before compulsory by law. last year in my work loads of blokes left with £130k lump sums and £18k a year pensions.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I'm so excited, I've stayed here 10 years longer than I planned simply because I want a lovely pay off. I might finally get my wish and I can move to Bavaria and eat sausage.

Not quite that simple, although the college generally has to explore VR each year, they're not obligated to accept everyone who comes forward.

There are people who put in for it and are not given it because their work area is not in decline. We lost two IT staff last time so this time they targeted GCSE/A Level and no one from IT was given it. Ended up getting VR from that area although they were told that CR would also be taken from that body of staff who's numbers had fallen. *

We had a guy who wanted to leave but was turned down, he ended up resigning.

* - rightly or wrongly I'm not clear but I would guess they took advice on it.

lies.

we had a lot of people on 12 month contracts let go from ford and they got people over from the older plants that do fuck all yet get paid more than everyone else.

it's last in, first out unfortunately.

no, 20k is his redundancy package silly.

On a similar note, we have not had pay rises for the last 3 years and even had a 5% pay cut.
We have been promised a raise at the end of January, but my guess it wont be our 5% back or even any compensation.

I'm either just not getting the above or I was right.

1 months pay for every year there. 12 years = 12 months. Redundany = £20k = 12 months pay
