i once got 112mpg travelling 2 miles mainly downhill and flat in neutral without braking.
mk4 golfs are amazing
You would have got considerably more if you had it in gear.

£6 a week doesn't sound much Ben but mounts up £288 a year, just think what you could buy for that

you may say £6 a week aint much, but i filled up my CTR 3 mnths ago at 115.9, yesterday it was 125.9, 10p per litre an extra £4.50 a week....
when it was 115.9 we said o, £5 aint much per week....so all in all, since summer an extra £10 to fill up a tank each week.
When it comes to £1.35 a litre, you going to say o well another £5 a week aint much? equating approx to an extra £15 a fill up since summer 2010

Price of fuel has gone up about 4 pence...
but I got a 4k pay rise and now get to work from home more often - so it's all swings and roundabouts.

I'm beginning to see it eat a bit more of my wage a month. Have to wait till April for my payrise which may just about cover in the increase in the cost of fuel a year. Public sector
£57 for a full tank, get anything between 450-500 miles out of that

Sold the corsa as it was shit
Bought a Golf 53 gt tdi 130bhp and im chuffed with it!
Get about 680 from my 50l tank which is £65 to fill empty to brim. So average mpg is 50 but i can get between 65-69 mpg from the golf.
Quick calculation thats about 930 miles to a tank on 69mpg! I know that would be impossible on mine due to traffic but my gf's 1.5tdi clio 08 does an average of 64mpg every where
