Dunno really. A mate of mine designed the cross for me when I was about 17. Then decided it looked a bit lost and toyed with ideas of what else to do for years. Eventually decided and got the wings about 6years on.
Sat as outlines for ages till I got it shaded last year. Still mote detail to be done yet though.

IMHO, if you have wings tattoo'd they want to be spread wings, like the one lawrah posted, rather than folded angel wing style ones. There was a cool design done in that style in season one of LA Ink, can find a photo right now though.

I had a couple done 15 years ago, and if mine are anything to go by peoples tats in this thread are going to be big blobs of grey in the future

Ok, ghey request time, got pics?
I'm trying to get a handle on how much ink really bleeds. Tattoo artist reckons a design I want would need to be 2.5in square minimum cause of ink bleed. I was more hoping for an inch to inch and a half square.
Barcodes must turn in to a smudge over time.

Bleed has never bothered me.
End of te day, when it's a big smudge I'll be to old to be wandering around half naked.

No pics I'm afraid...
Mine was done in '95 so sort of pre mainstream digital photography.
However, mine is a tribal affair with lots of bands crossing each other a bit like this:-
See the crossing at the top which looks about 4-5mm across?
Thats bled to nothing now.
Mine doesn't look that 'bad' but I'd be very mindful of having lots of close together detail if I was getting another.
