Fucking helmets.
We're not talking about Focus STs you daft cunt. You said that running VXRs on regular unleaded 'does damage' which is a lot of utter shite.

I filled up with V-Power last week just to give it a try. Only thing I have noticed is that the exhaust pops and bangs louder but that could just be with it being so new it's all bedding in a bit more and nothing to do with the fuel.

The TT i had had a sticker saying use 98 RON if possible but 95 is perfectly ok
In America they have 91 RON so i wouldnt belive all the hypwe unless the car is specifically mapped for 98 RON

Your scooby is probably mapped for it so will make a big difference.
I think a lot of people just try and justify spending the extra.
Same with diesel on the vag forums, everybody runs a shot of millers with every tank because they can notice a difference between that and v-power, no idea how they can tell.
running performance diesel is poinltess and the engines are less susceptable to quality of fuel
The VPOWER diesel is marketting hype

Same with the VXR, if we use Vpower or Tesco its bangs and pops alot more than standard fuel, not difference in performance though (from what i can tell)

Better watch you don't use regular to much though Matthew, apparently it eats pistons and probably makes your tyres wear more quickly or some other bullshit.

unleaded is for little citroen saxos where as super unleaded with the higher octane rating is for performance cars like subarus and evos, my car uses super unleaded

If i put T99 in my VTR it popped and banged louder and spat the occasional flame.
That was the only difference, noticed no difference in the drive

T99 is for cars that require it, Bens ST wasn't tuned and it returned better BHP on the rollers.
My Astra needs T99 and I dont feel right filling up the Mini with 95 it just feels wrong.
