Same kind of situation I posted. A guy kicked my car because he didn't like my mate after a nightout, caught on camera and i stopped a passing police car. he was arrested and been charged, I'm now waiting on his court date. I dont have to go as the evidence is there + my statement + he couldn't deny it as he was the only fat cunt wearing a micky mouse t-shirt on a night out

You wont have to go to court if there's sufficient evidence. Seeing as it's on CCTV he'd be a twat to plead not guilty. Someone bottled me a few years ago, was all on CCTV and the door staff saw it all - he got sent to prison for 18 months and I got £500, without having to go to court

I'd take it to court. its why the system is there. The fact people like to take matters into their own hands is half the reason you get crime in the country. He'll think twice about doing it again when he gets a court summons in the post

Police should be here any second. If im not able to give him what he deserves physically i'll at least try legally.
Bit weary of him knowing my details, such as address though as I don't want to bring trouble to my door because of the Mrs etc. It will only result in one of two things, he does nothing, or he turns up and I end up getting raped for compensation.

You come across as really mixed up about this so this is what I would do
If I were in your frame of mind. Tell the cops what happened and as there was cameras the police will look at them so the guy will have no choice but to plead guilty. That way your address will stay hidden and no court appearances.
