seems im mislead and 330ds can be mapped to 300bhp and the auto box is infact better? interesting

No chance.They are 187/201 bhp standard.

i think its the 230bhp ones can be mapped to 300..

186 to 225bhp ish

Yeah,the E46 330d only had the 180odd and 201bhp engines.Later being 201bhp.
