The key is sticking at it, i kept starting and been all enthusiastic about putting on some extra muscle but then even tho i was seeing gains i got lazy here and there and went from training alot and eating the right things to eventualy hardly bothering at all. If you want some supplements go on bulkpowders.co.uk. some good advice on the forums too for people at all stages from newbies to guys that have been doing it for years.
Other bits of advice ive picked up are:
- Sleep plays a big part, try to get a routine that includes 8 hours a night
- Try to eat more meals in a day, 4 or 5 meals even if they are smaller as opposed to just the usual 3
- When taking supplements try to take them at the right times such as after a workout and when you have breakfast
- Monitor your intake as just throwing chicken down ur throat alot isnt gona cut it
As i said go on the forums and check it out lots of useful info people have on there alot through trial and error get a good routine going and stick at it.

Some good advice, thanks
Trouble is I'm a fussy fucker when it comes to food so I'm going to find it IMPOSSIABLE eating that heathly shit to get 120g of protein a day. And if I put on weight to rip, it only goes to my gut

My new approach is eat EVERYTHING.. Literally.
Good food, bad food, chocolate, kfc, pizza hut..Just eat it.
Im currently weighing 230lbs, and my deadlift is now 220kg.
When i was less than 200lb i failed way before a 200kg deadlift.

120g of protein would last me around 10days.
bang it with 250-300ml full fat milk 3-4 times a day for maximum gains.

reps (around 6).. i dont believe you grow from 1rms - thus unnecessary (unless your a strongman/powerlifter.)

Really need to start training again soon this weather makes me feel like not doing fuck all quite a lot
Want my advice? Get plenty of sleep whilst training..that is all oh and Mens Health is worth getting for the workouts. Remember low reps big weight!

Monster
No, I'd agree with you on that one. Obviously hard to tell from what you did put - I hoped it wasn't for 1 as 220kg at 230lbs isn't that impressive

Personally i wouldnt go for the shit you get from argos.
A lot of the stuff tastes shit. Well im a picky as fuck cunt when it comes to food and drinks and ive tried a few weight gainers and normal protein shakes, all being the whey shit and i just couldnt bare the taste after so many.
Im on the universil real gains, awaiting my 2nd tub and its fucking amazing which is down to it being milk concentrate and not pure whey.
Plus if you like them so much youll have no problem drinking them all the time.
Look the stuff up, its highly rated over the body building forums.
