Looks very smart.
How come you went through all the effort of hiding the equipment and wires but didn't relocate the double plug socket 1m to the right?

Considered moving it but I thought it would come in handy for something or other, if it's never used it's easier to patch in than it is knock it back out.
There's an aerial socket in that corner that I'll probably never use, like to keep my options open.
If it was white instead of the shiny stuff I'd have been more inclined to remove it.

Not done much more in here apart from take my bedroom to bits and can't be bothered decorating it to put my bed in.
Got a fire and fireplace though which has made a bare bit of wall look better.
Moved the front speakers off the stands as well because it was a bit tight with the fire.

Not sure on the fireplace, kinda looks like someone just leant it against the wall and left it there, especially with you seeing the wall around the fire. Maybe it looks better when viewed with the rest of the room though. Is the flue just for show?
Like the doors, really nice chunky raised panel in the bottom.

TV is seriously nice, it looks quite low (similar height to mine though) everyone on AVForums seems to mount them higher.

Fireplace is a bit bare, it started off as an empty fire we'd see if we liked, got the logs for the bottom, the acquired the flue bit for the top, it is just for show.
It as actually just sitting against the wall at the moment, I think I need some sort of hearth for under it, it doesn't look too bad in the flesh, better than the bit of wall that was there originally. Other bonus is it's worth a good few hundred quid and it all cost me nothing.
Doors are solid oak afaik, having a double entrance to the living room adds a bit of grandeur.
TV is just about a perfect height, if anything it could go a tad lower, I always laugh at TV's up at the ceiling when you're sitting on a couch to watch them.

I've never understood that, there is a reason TV stands tend to be at eye level. If you are mounting above a fireplace fair enough but if you have a blank wall mount it at the most comfortable height.
A hearth and a dark marble/granite surround would make it look more like it's meant to be there. Is it just an electric fire then?

dont think it goes. your tv would be the eye point of the room or the fire. If it goes perm there i think it looks as if the tv was just put there and look out of place.

I like it partly because I probably won't see it elsewhere.
TV is physically too big to look just put anywhere.

Went to look at cars on Saturday and came home with a table
Underestimated the size of it.

Finally got around to investigating my soaking garage, gone from stupid decking to a manky side of the garage and a big bit of mud.
The water has been going down the back of the trellis against the garage, the beam was only about an inch away tight to the ground so it's had nowhere to go apart from in the bottom of the rotten garage door.
Decking ripped up, need to dig down a bit and lay some chips and slabs up the side of the garage and turf the rest.

Why would anyone want to cover the access door to the garage
Lot of potential for they garden! plenty of room for a hot tub!

No idea, especially since it's been there for at least a few years and the garage must have been soaking the whole time, white mould on everything that's been sitting in the garage over winter.
Just a bad job in general, the frame was completely rotten because it's just been sitting on the ground.

Weird how they blocked the door up but it does look a million times better blocked up than not!
What you planning on doing with the space where the decking was? Particularly the garage as it looks a bit

New door, window, I'll paint the side, I've half dug up the side to put some slabs down to bring the level down below the garage floor to try and prevent some of the water getting in.
Rest of it I'll just turf.
I hate digging. My body is built for being an internet warrior, not a labourer.

Finally got all the hard bits of my bedroom done, carpet was fitted this morning and I spent hours this afternoon building the bed. Just need curtains and a couple of lamps now.
Went from before I moved in
No during pics, I ripped out the mirrored wardrobes though, the walls were all papered straight onto plaster and gyproc so when I stripped it half of the walls came off, took me ages of filling and the wall with the TV got some new gyproc on.
iPhone camera isn't wide enough to get much in one shot.
Also found these under my gun cabinet
